JAMMU, Sept 9: To discuss the constitutional rights of Other Backwards Classes (OBCs), a meeting of All India Backward Classes Unions (AIBCU) was held here today.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chaman Lal Gandhi, AIBCU, President Bishnah Assembly Constituency, in which State Chairman Mohd Lateef Qureshi, Kewal Krishan Fotra, Additional General Secretary, Rakesh Kumar Kashyap State Secretary and Muhammad Umar Mughal Jammu District Youth President were the special invitees.
All the speakers and participants reminded Prime Minister that JK OBCs reposed full faith in PM in 2014 and 2019, but now the OBCs of JK- UT feel cheated.
During the meeting many points were discussed. In which all the speakers participated.
The leaders further alleged that the Sankalp Patra released by Home Minister is mere eyewash, as the party failed to fulfill their promises made with the OBCs.
“OBCs don’t trust BJP, so they will vote on the name of constitutional rights, not on development. We wanted to appeal the OBC communities to think before casting vote,” the leaders said.
