UDHAMPUR, Sept 9: Police today arrested a notorious drug peddler from Tikri and seized heroin like substance from his possession.
Police team from Police Post Tikri, while performing vehicle checking at Tikri naka point, stopped one motorcycle bearing registration number DL1SAB-7785, which was coming from Jammu towards Udhampur.
On frisking of the bike rider, 7.48 grams of heroin like contraband substance was recovered from his possession. Following this, police arrested the bike rider, identified as Anterjot Singh alias Tobo, son of Harbans Singh of Ward number 17, Omara Morh Udhampur.
Police also seized the recovered heroin and motorcycle. A case vide FIR No. 197/2024 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Rehambal and further investigation was set into motion.
