21 bovines rescued, two vehicles seized

UDHAMPUR, Sept 9: Police today foiled two different bovine smuggling attempts and seized two vehicles besides rescuing 21 bovines.
A Police team of Police Post Tikri headed by Manveer Singh IC PP Tikri, while performing routine vehicle checking duty at naka point Tikri, intercepted two vehicles Truck and Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK08F-2385 and JK20C-1172 Tata Mobile for checking purpose.
During checking of both the vehicles, 21 bovines were found laden inside which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally without any valid permission, both the accused persons fled away from the spot.
All the bovines were rescued and have been shifted to a safer place.
In this regard, two cases under relevant sections of law stands registered at PS Rehambal and further investigation is in progress.
