SRINAGAR, Apr 16: Maintaining that People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has played a dubious and villainous role for ensuring victimisation and political disempowerment of Kashmiris, Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats and senior National Conference leader Ali Mohammad Sagar today said that now the leaders of the party in a state of hypocrisy are desperately trying hard to project themselves as well wishers of the people for their ulterior political motives, but the people are aware that the patron of this party was responsible for imposition certain draconian laws and also various massacres which took place in the Valley during early 90’s.
Sagar was addressing a public gathering at Koolipora in old city Srinagar, which was attended by leaders of National Conference and other prominent persons from different fields of life.
Asking PDP to recall history and the negative role played by them, Sagar said that they in a state of frustration and political despondency are trying to cast aspirations on NC, but the people of the Valley are well aware of the fact that their patron has played a negative and villainous role in the history of the State and has been responsible for ensuring victimization and political dis-empowerment of the masses.
He said that the people of the State are wise enough to understand the mechanizations and lies of PDP and would give befitting reply to them, which will serve as a lesson to these forces of chaos and confusion.
“The leaders of the PDP are known for their dubious role in the political circles of the State as they can go to any extent to further their lust for power and propagate their personal clouts”, he said adding that their close association to certain rightist organisations of India, who are historically anti-Kashmniri is known by one and all.
