Putin says will discuss with Xi bilateral issues during BRICS summit

 

Moscow, Sep 12  Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that he expects to discuss issues of bilateral cooperation with Chinese President Xi Jinping during a separate bilateral meeting within the framework of the BRICS summit in Kazan.

Russian-Chinese relations are successfully developing in many areas, including in international affairs, the economy and the humanitarian sphere, Putin said at a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

“All this remains on our agenda. And it will also be the subject of our discussions with the President of the People’s Republic of China during the multilateral and bilateral meeting with the President of the People’s Republic of China in Kazan,” Putin said.

Many countries that share the BRICS’ approaches to the world order seek to cooperate with the association, and BRICS members will prepare appropriate solutions, Putin added.

“Many countries that share our approaches to the world order strive to be members of this organization and cooperate with it. We will do everything possible to prepare appropriate decisions in this area on the basis of consensus, as is customary in our relations,” Putin said. (Agencies)
