JAMMU, Sept 12: Senior Congress leader and party candidate from Jammu South, Raman Bhalla today said that Congress will undo the wrongs of BJP and introduce pro-poor policies in the Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing series of election meetings at Dharap, Bhour Camp, Rohi Morh, Digiana, Shiv Nagar and other places today Bhalla alleged that BJP Government has no vision. It is cheating the youth and the unemployed persons, and doing injustice. Instead of answering questions, it speaks lies, and avoids accountability.
He said lakhs of our educated youth are unemployed. Their parents had invested whatever they had for the education of these youth. “We have to come out of this economic and social crisis. We must shun mere sloganeering and speeches and tacle this issue with proper planning,” Bhalla said.
He said Congress has always taken a “leading role” in tackling the challenges posed before the country. Congress has been questioning the BJP government on inflation, unemployment, increasing prices of petrol, diesel and cooking gas and also staged protests on these issues. The government jobs are falling prey to nepotism and favoritism and the candidates selected for jobs are moving from pillar to post to get their appointment, he said.
Bhalla said Congress always framed and implemented the pro- poor and pro- oppressed policies to ensure their upliftment since independence and referred to the protection of their rights to jobs in district cadre posts all over state in the last Govt. He said BJP has brought miseries through unprecedented price rise for the poor, common man, educated unemployed and daily wagers and each section of society due to unprecedented price rise by huge taxations. The congress shall undo the wrongs of BJP Govt and present dispensation and introduce the people friendly and various pro poor policies in Jammu and Kashmir, providing major relief to the sufferings of poor, downtrodden and others.
