Seeks vote for Salathia

SAMBA. Sept 12: Chief Minister, Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami today said that the ongoing Assembly elections in J&K will take the UT to new heights of development and prosperity.
Addressing a mammoth election rally here, today in support of party candidate from Samba Assembly segment and former Minister, Surjit Singh Salathia, Dhami appealed the people to cast their vote in favour of Lotus on October 1 and vote the double engine Government of BJP to power in J&K.
He said Samba is the land of martyrs and it has given great warriors to the country. He, while bowing before the land of Samba said that he is hopeful that BJP candidate, Surjit Singh Salathia will be elected by the people of this constituency with a huge margin.
The UK CM said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi fulfilled the dream of one Constitution, one flag and one head of State of founder president of Bharatiya Jana Sangh, Dr Syama Prasad Mookherjee. He said under the leadership of PM Modi the controversial Article 370 was abrogated from Indian Constitution and the J&K was totally integrated with Indian Union.
Dhami said when BJP raised its voice against the abrogation of Article 370 some parties opposed it. But the August 5 of 2019 is a great day in the Indian history when BJP Government led by Narendra Modi abrogated this controversial article once for all.
He said prior to abrogation of Article 370 the stone pelters and terrorists ruled the roost in erstwhile State and they were a great impediment in the progress and prosperity of J&K. But BJP Government minimised terrorist activities and replaced terrorism with tourism. Today there are no reports of stone pelting from any part of J&K as nobody dares to take stones in their hands now, he added.
Dhami said this will be a historic election in the J&K and for the first time after the independence of the country the people of J&K will not see the elections under the two flags and two constitutions but under one Indian Tricolour and Baba Bhim Rao Ambedkar’s Constitution which is a great achievement of Modi Government. He said earlier Kashmir reported 10 percent poll in elections but in this year’s Lok Sabha elections the polling percentage was 58 percent.
UK CM said under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi vistas of development have been opened in J&K. He said education, health, road sectors and infrastructure development strengthening as many steps were taken by Modi Government in UT for restoration of peace. He said presently there are IIT, IIM, two AIIMS and many other medical and engineering colleges. Besides, Hydro electric power projects worth Rs 25000 crore are under construction in the UT.
Dhami said after 2019 about 30,000 youth were given jobs, outside investment has increased to 70 thousand crore and five giant projects have been started with this investment. He said the construction of IT Park is underway and PM has given priority to development of J&K.
He said earlier terrorists used to threaten the annual Amarnath pilgrimage and this year over five lakh pilgrims visited the holy cave. This is the new J&K and it was our long dream. Today the National Flag continues to unfurl at Lal Chowk, Srinagar and India is marching to become Vishaw Guru under the leadership of PM Modi.
He said earlier Congress Home Minister was scared of visiting Kashmir and today leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi freely visit Kashmir, the credit for which goes to PM Modi.
The rally was also addressed by BJP national general secretary, Tarun Chugh, party candidate, Surjit Singh Salathia, Amar Singh, Vinay Rohila and others.
