JAMMU, Sept 12: A drug peddler was arrested with 40 grams of heroin in Pouni Chak area here today.
A police official said that Sharif Sheik (27) of Village Sheikpura Watnar, Tehsil Kokernag, District Anantnag, was apprehended with the consignment by a team of Police Post Pouni Chak led by Incharge Police Post Pouni Chak under the supervision of SHO Domana.
He was accordingly booked in case FIR number 231/2024 under sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Domana and further investigation taken up, he said.
Pertinently, the entire operation was monitored by SP Jammu Rural.
