JKP attaches two properties of drug peddlers

JAMMU, Sept 12: Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) today attached two properties of alleged drug peddlers worth crores in Lower Ragoora area of Jammu district.
Two residential houses of Javed Ahmed, his son, and Abdul Majeed alias Bhallu of Lower Ragoora were attached under Section 68-F(1) of the NDPS Act 1985, SP South Ajay Sharma said.

According to him, the investigation conducted by the police established that the seized properties were acquired through the proceeds of the narcotics trade.
“The assessment of the seized properties done by board of engineers formed by Xen R&B and Revenue Department valued them for Rs 1 crore, 4 lakhs and 71 thousands,” he said.
The police official said that the accused were already booked under relevant Sections of the NDPS Act registered at Police Stations Nagrota, Janipur and Bagh-e-Bahu.
It is important to mention here that in the last five months, total six properties of the narcotics traffickers worth crores have been seized by the police under the stewardship of SP Jammu South, Ajay Sharma.
