RAJOURI, Sept 14: Excise team today conducted raids and seized 2400 kgs of Lahan and 15 litres if illicit liquor in Nowshera area of Rajouri district.
Official sources said that the teams led by Excise Inspector Mohd Arif conducted raids in Goda and Nonial areas of Nowshera. During the course searches the team recovered around 2400kgs of Lahan (Key ingredient for distillation of illicit liquor) and 15 litres of illicit liquor.
During operation a working still at forest land was also destroyed on the spot. The raids were conducted by the Excise team from Rajouri on the direction of Excise Commissioner J&K Subash Chander Chibber and Deputy Excise Commissioner Sanjay Bhat.
