Eight day camp on spiritual enlightenment concludes

JAMMU, Sept 16: The Saral Adhyatmik Shivir, an eight-day spiritual camp that started on September 8 concluded today at Ida Kanya Ved Vidyalaya, (first ever Kanya Gurukul in J&K) in Vaidik Vanprasth Ashram, Garhi, Udhampur.
The camp featured the ceremony of ‘Upanayan Sanskar’ (sacred thread ceremony) and ‘Vedarambh Sanskar’ for 21 newly admitted girls in the traditional institute.
Dr. Pratibha Purandhi conducted the ceremony bestowing Guru Mantra to the participants.
On this occasion Vedic Scholar, Acharya Sanand from Panipat highlighting the importance of Gayatri Mantra.
Attendees from Haryana, Rajasthan, Bhopal, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Himachal, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and J&K were benefited from the camp in which Acharya Sanand preached on Yoga and Sankhya Darshan.
‘Samaveda Parayan Yajya’ was also performed daily under the guidance of Dr. Pratibha Purandhi, Sanyojika, Sukriti, Samarpita and Acharya Diksha.
Participants showcased their proficiency in Yoga Asanas, Shastra Sanchalan, conversational Sanskrit and recitation of Vedas.
Representatives from various Arya Samajs and local communities commended the event’s success and organization.
Trust president, Arun Chowdhary expressed gratitude to donors and attendees and detailed about the donations received.
He appealed for continuous support towards the construction of additional rooms for girls.
