JAMMU, Sept 16: Independent contesting candidate from Bahu constituency, Jayesh Gupta has intensified his door-to-door campaign by engaging with the voters and listening to their genuine issues.
Today, Jayesh Gupta along with kin, friends and supporters covered areas like Gole Market, Gandhi Nagar, Nanak Nagar, Trikuta Nagar and adjoining areas of Bahu constituency. During interactions with locals, he directly engaged with them, discussing pressing issues such as the installation of smart meters, irregular electric and water supply and recent 100% increase in monthly garbage collection charges by the Jammu Municipal Corporation.
The residents also expressed concern over the increasing population of street dogs, which they said has led to frequent incidents of dog bites. The rising power costs and abrupt disconnections by the PDD on late or delayed payments were also discussed by the locals with Jayesh Gupta.
The Government’s indifference towards the struggles of common citizens is clear, Jayesh remarked. He appealed to the voters to vote and support him wholeheartedly in the scheduled Assembly elections. He assured residents that, if elected, he would prioritize reversing these harsh measures and be a strong advocate for their concerns in the political arena.
“You have tested BJP, Congress and other political parties but they failed to come up to your expectations. They made tall promises before elections but never fulfilled them. They made huge bank balances but the common masses are still struggling for basic amenities. Now, it is your turn to teach these parties and their candidates a lesson by using the power of your vote,” Jayesh asserted.
