UDHAMPUR, Sept 16: Udhampur Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 6.97 grams of Heroin like contraband substance from his possession.
Reports said that a team from Police Station Udhampur, led by SHO Raghubir Singh, performing routine naka checking at Jakhani, stopped one vehicle (Bolero) bearing registration number JK17A- 4516 for checking purpose.
On frisking, approximately 6.97 grams of Heroin like contraband substance was recovered from possession of the drive, identified as Sameer Ahmed, son of Haqnawaz Malik, resident of Kishtwar. He was arrested on the spot.
Police also seized the vehicle and registered a case vide FIR No. 383/2024 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act in P/S Udhampur.
