JAMMU, Sept 16: Police in Jammu’s Nagrota area claimed today they have arrested five drug peddlers with heroin like substance.
A police official said that three drug peddlers identified as Sunny Kumar, Ashan Ali, both residents of Paryote, Doda and Aqib Farooq of Khaleni, Doda, were arrested with around 20-22 grams of heroin-like-substance during routine naka checking at Ban Toll Plaza on September 15.
He said two more drug peddlers were arrested at Naka Bamyal Morh, Jagti during routine checking of vehicles. They were identified as Arshad Ahmed and Bilal Ahmed, both residents of Lasjan, Tehsil Panthachowk, District Srinagar.
All the accused have been booked under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Nagrota and further investigation taken up, added the police official.
