JAMMU, Sept 17: The Department of Tourism and Travel Management at the Central University of Jammu organized a capacity building workshop on “Developing Employability Skills for Global Career Readiness”.
The workshop, tailored for MBA and other professional course students, featured Dr Gaurav Vaid, a renowned professional coach, as the resource person.
Dr Gaurav Vaid led both pre- and post-lunch sessions, offering his expertise on critical topics such as networking, career initiation, and value creation. His interactive presentations, coupled with practical insights, aimed at empowering students with the skills essential to succeed in the global job market.
Earlier, the inauguration began with a warm welcome by Dr Ranjeet Kumar Raman, Head of the Department. Prof Jaya Bhasin, Dean of the School of Business Studies, delivered a motivating address, encouraging students to seize the opportunity and fully benefit from the workshop.
The workshop also included a vibrant question-and-answer session, wherein students actively engaged with Dr Vaid, followed by an experience-sharing segment, which encouraged participants to share their own perspectives and learning experiences.
The event was further enriched by the presence of faculty members from the School of Business Studies, contributing to a collaborative and stimulating learning environment. Dr Bharti Gupta, the event coordinator, ensured the seamless execution of the workshop, while Sumiran Maheshwari skillfully managed the event as the Master of Ceremony.
