JAMMU, Apr 19: Judicial Magistrate Hiranagar, Preet Simran Kour has awarded one year imprisonment to a bus driver namely Dilbagh Singh, whose negligent driving had led to death of a woman.
According to the police case, on September 4, 2009, a bus bearing registration No PB32G-8652 driven rashly by Dilbagh Singh hit Indica car as a result of which Satya Devi, passenger of car, died on the spot.
After hearing Senior PO JP Singh for the State, Judicial Magistrate observed, “prosecution has proved its case beyond any shadow of doubt”.
Accordingly, court awarded one year imprisonment and fine of Rs 1000 to Dilbagh Singh.
