CJ pays surprise visit to Samba, Kathua courts

JAMMU, Apr 19: Chief Justice of State High Court, Justice M M Kumar today paid surprise visit to District Court Complex at Samba and Kathua.
Justice Kumar interacted with the Judicial Officers and members of the Bar Associations to ascertain the difficulties being faced by them in smooth functioning of the courts. The Judicial Officers as well as members of the Bar Associations mainly complained about poor infrastructure in the courts in both the districts.
Chief Justice himself noticed inadequate facilities despite huge workload in the courts. He also enquired from the Bar members about the timing of the Judicial Officers.
Justice Kumar impressed upon the Judicial Officers as well as Bar members to work hard in order to ensure early disposal of the cases and come up to the expectations of the litigants.
Registrar General of the High Court, Suresh Kumar Sharma was accompanying the Chief Justice during the surprise visit.
