“NC-Congress, PDP and Pakistan are on same page and have only one agenda of reviving militancy in Kashmir,” Thakur said, while talking to reporters at the sidelines of his public rally at Pouni in Reasi district in support of BJP candidate Rakesh Dubey.
“NC-Congress, PDP and Pakistan want death and destruction in J&K and stall development works started by PM Modi,” Thakur said, while adding, “these parties never thought of common people of J&K but only cared for their families”.
“PM Modi by abrogating Article 370, freed J&K from the clutches of terrorism and established peace here”, he said, adding, “Now, record number of tourists are visiting J&K and people are living a dignified life and earning their livelihood”.
Thakur said that NC-Congress and PDP want to bring back Article 370 and are promising to release jailed terrorists and stone pelters. “It shows their intent that they want to revive militancy and push J&K back into the era of militancy and unrest”.
He said they want to remove PSA and release terrorists, separatists and drug traffickers who are spoiling the lives of innocent people. He asked people do they want that the anti social and anti national elements should be released?
“It is unfortunate that the leaders of the NC and PDP are living in India and praise Pakistan. They want holding of talks with Pakistan without conditions but our stand is no talks till Pakistan stops cross border terrorism”, he added.
Terming the incorporation of Article 370 a great blunder of then Congress Government headed by Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru, he said 45,000 people lost their lives due to the blunders done by Congress since 1947.
Thakur also accused Congress of giving mandate to leaders of Tukde Tukde gang. In response to a question of Congress assuring free electricity to people, Thakur said the same promise was made in HP by Congress and now see what is situation there. They have hiked power tariff and also imposed taxes on people.
He said the NC-Congress are not the well wishers of people of J&K. Thakur also slammed Rahul Gandhi for insulting Sikhs on foreign soil. “In last 10 years, have you been barred from wearing turban, have you been barred from wearing Kada, have you been barred from going to Gurudwara?” Thakur asked people of Sikh community.
He said, Rahul Gandhi has insulted Sikh Community. “Congress Party is responsible for 84 Sikh riots,” Thakur said, while adding, “Many senior leaders of Congress namely Jagdish Tytler, Sajjan Kumar and others were involved in anti-Sikh riots”.
Congress owes an apology to the nation, he said, and urged the people to reject NC-Congress in these elections.
Later addressing a rally, Thakur said that terrorism has been eliminated from J&K while the separatism has also decreased. The J&K is fast moving on the path of development and progress due to dynamic leadership of PM Modi. The UT got Rs 25,000 crore investment and another 75,000 crore is in pipeline, he added.
He said another Vande Bharat train has been started for Katra by Modi Government and with the construction of Express Way Corridor the travel from Delhi to holy township of Katra will be reduced to six hours.
Thakur said the farmers and horticulturists of Reasi will be now benefitted after construction of Express way Corridor and rail link to Kashmir as they can directly take their produce for sale in Mandis of Delhi.
He said earlier people of far-flung areas had to go Delhi for treatment now Modi Government established two AIIMS in J&K besides IIT, IIM and IIMC, eight medical colleges, engineering colleges and nursing colleges.
