JAMMU, Sept 22: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) strongly condemned the statement made by AIP chief and Parliament Member Engineer Rashid about Kashmiri Pandits in an interview given to a news channel today.
Kundan Kashmiri, president of KPC, while strongly condemning the irresponsible and misleading statements made by Engineer Rashid, leader of the Awami Itihad Party (AIP) and Member of Parliament from Baramulla, during his interview with a News Channel termed it unfortunate.
Engineer Rashid made baseless allegations against the displaced Kashmiri Pandit (KP) community, accusing and falsely claiming they receive a monthly amount of Rs 27,000 as relief, which supposedly discourages their return to the Kashmir Valley. He further played for resolution of so–called Kashmir and other issues forgetting that Kashmir is an integral part of India and the only dispute is on that part of Kashmir which is under forcible occupation of Pakistan.
