KUPWARA, Sept 27: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National Executive Member and J&K Waqf Board Chairperson, Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, today conducted door-to-door campaign to rally support for the party’s candidate from Karnah Assembly segment along the LoC, Idrees Karnahi.
During her campaign, Dr Andrabi addressed several public meetings, engaging with locals and highlighting the achievements of the BJP Government, including the granting of Scheduled Tribe (ST) status to the Pahari community, which she said had been long denied by J&K’s dynastic parties.
“Since 2019, the BJP has brought peace to these valleys, ensuring the safety of the people and boosting tourism and development. The days of violence are behind us,” Dr Andrabi stated.
She criticized previous Governments for offering only empty slogans without empowering the people.
Dr Andrabi emphasized that the BJP is committed to improving infrastructure in the region, including the construction of a much-needed tunnel for Karnah.
She urged voters to support the BJP’s “futuristic agenda” and elect Idrees Karnahi, ensuring the fulfilment of the region’s development dreams.
