“Only two days are now left for the poll campaign for the third and last phase of Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. Though it was raining in the morning in Jammu area, yet the weather improved after 9 am. Rahul Gandhi was scheduled to arrive at the venue (Bishnah) at around 12 noon. But due to some ‘technical reasons’ his chopper was not provided green nod by the concerned authorities at Jammu, the party sources said.
For Chhamb rally also, which was scheduled to be held at Khour town at around 1.30 pm, the green signal could not be received from the authorities and the second rally was also allegedly sabotaged, the sources added.
They said even the rally of AICC president, Mallikarjun Kharge could not be held a few days ago and he kept waiting at Jammu for getting technical clearance from the concerned authorities at Jammu. There is strong resentment among the Congress cadre and workers over the ‘alleged sabotage’ at certain quarters, the sources added.
