Pargal gets National Gaurav Award for excellence in journalism

JAMMU, Sept 29: Sanjeev Pargal, Jammu Bureau Chief Daily Excelsior was awarded 10th National Gaurav Award at a function organized by the India Bravehearts and DNA at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi yesterday.
A total of 40 eminent personalities drawn from across the country were given the prestigious award.
The Organizers said they received a total of 1800 nominations for this year’s Award. A grand jury scrutinized the nominations and finally approved 40 persons from different States/UTs of the country for the award.
The awardees include senior journalists, educationists including Vice Chancellors of different Universities, former IAS officers, leading doctors, Army officers, engineers, entrepreneurs, Bollywood personalities and entrepreneurs drawn from various States/UTs.
Ambassador from Myanmar, sitting and former Members of Parliament, Judges, leading social and religious leaders, Bollywood personalities and the Organizers gave away the awards at five-hour long function at Bharat Mandapam which also saw performance by different educational institutions.
Pargal was given the National Gaurav Award for excelling in the field of journalism.
It may be mentioned here that Pargal is the recipient of State Award, Best Legislature Coverage Award, Chhibber Memorial Award for Excellence in Journalism, People’s Choice Award and National Peace and Harmony Award among others.
He extended his gratitude to the organizers for selecting him for the prestigious award from a long list of 1800 applicants, all of whom were leading personalities in their fields across the country.
