He said J&K had 13 Chief Ministers since 1952 and they belonged to dynastic parties and Kashmir region who totally ignored Jammu as not a single leader from Jammu was considered for the post of CM during this period. “This time Jammu has got an opportunity and through the power of ballot they can change their fate by appointing a CM from this region,” he added.

Reddy, while taking the dynastic parties to task said three families destroyed the J&K for their vested political interests. “These three families were responsible for terrorism, separatism and corruption,” he added.
He said this election has given an opportunity to the people to defeat these parties by electing BJP to power for the prosperous, peaceful and new J&K of their dreams.
Reddy said it is for the people to decide whether they will support those parties who want to revive terrorism by releasing all terrorists and separatists from jails, restoring Article 370 and do away with reservations given to the people of J&K like Paharis, STs and women or support BJP which after annulling of controversial Article which was the barrier in J&K’s development restored peace and put the UT on the path of development.
“Terrorism was the biggest speed breaker in the way of development,” he added, while justifying the Modi Government’s decision of annulling Article 370.
BJP working president Sat Sharma, National Spokesperson R.P. Singh, spokesperson and Media center in-charge Arun Gupta, spokesperson Girdhari Lal Raina, and Media head, Dr. Pradeep Mahotra were also present at the press conference.
Reddy said due to the Modi Government’s “zero tolerance” policy, terror incidents have decreased by 98 percent, and now Jammu and Kashmir is on the path of development and prosperity.
Reddy said that Congress, National Conference, and the PDP are fooling the people with their false promises and baseless statements.
He described the abrogation of Article 370 as the foundation for Jammu and Kashmir’s development and said that prosperity reigns in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s new Jammu and Kashmir.
Reddy appealed to the people of Jammu to vote for the BJP’s symbol, the “Lotus,” in the upcoming elections so that a majority BJP Government can be formed to make Jammu and Kashmir a developed and self-reliant State.
The Union Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, an atmosphere of security and peace has been established in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that to eliminate terrorism, stone-pelting, and separatist politics, the Modi Government has taken strict measures, leading to a wave of development in Jammu and Kashmir today.
He emphasized that the instability in Jammu and Kashmir so far has been caused by parties like the Congress, National Conference, and PDP, which have betrayed the people for their familial interests. “These parties discriminated with Jammu region in political, social and economic spheres of life,” he added.
He noted that there is now an environment in Jammu and Kashmir where the youth are excited about their future.
Instead of picking up stones, children are now picking up laptops and books. He said that Jammu and Kashmir is being developed as an economic power to compete with the Middle East and other states.
He also revealed that within the next two years, Jammu and Kashmir will meet all its electricity needs on its own, and by selling surplus power, it will achieve economic strength.
Reddy also said that the Central Government has empowered financial authority at the Panchayat level in Jammu and Kashmir, and now Panchayats are receiving direct financial aid from the center, promoting village-level development.
He said the BJP is the only party working for all regions and communities of Jammu and Kashmir.
He urged people to vote for the BJP in the upcoming elections to continue the journey of development and peace in the UT.
Criticising the Congress leader, Rahul Gandhi, he said Rahul who was saying `Daromaat’ has left the ground and did not take part in the campaigning. He (Rahul) made derogatory statements against Maharaja Hari Singh and Lt Governor, Reddy said and termed Maharaja as a great reformer.
Reddy said Rahul is ignorant about politics as well as Jammu and Kashmir. He must know that Governor is appointed from outside the State and during Congress rule also Governors were from outside the State, he said.
Earlier, BJP working president, Sat Sharma said BJP is going to create history in J&K and party for the first time on its own will form the Government in the UT.
He said people of Kashmir too have now realised that the Kashmiri leaders sent their children abroad for education and involved the children of common man in terrorism and violence to spoil their carrier.
