Liberal funding from Centre paced up JK’s development: Dy CM

NUNMAI (KULGAM), July 3: Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand today said that liberal funding from Centre not only paced up the development process in the State but also paved way for completion of several mega projects.
He was addressing public gathering at Nunmai in Kulgam district today.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that apart from improving basic needs of the people, health, R&B, tourism, education, rural and urban development sectors are among the priorities of the Government. He said the development plans framed by Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah led coalition would ensure equitable development of all areas of the State.
Mr Tara Chand said that the widening of national highways, laying of railway lines and giving International Airport status to Srinagar Airport would go a long way in improving the economy of the State. Terming tourism back bone of the economy of the State, he said “need is to create necessary tourist infrastructure to meet the requirements of the tourists.”
Referring the demands of the people, Mr. Tara Chand assured them that all genuine demands would be fulfilled in phased manner.
MLC, Mohammad Amin Bhat, former MLA, Haji Abdul Rasheed Dar and other activists were present on the occasion.
