RAMBAN, Oct 2: Police here today on the directions of SSP Ramban, Kulbir Singh arrested two bootleggers along with illicit liquor.
Cops from Police Station Ramban while patrolling apprehended one Dev Raj, son of Kuldeep Singh, resident of Hallah Dhandrath, Ramban and recovered 50 bottles (180 ml each) of illicit alcohol from him.
He was illegally selling the liquor and an FIR with number 243/2024 under Section 48(a) of Excise Act was registered at Police Station Ramban in this regard and investigation started.
In another instance, cops from Police Station Ramban held one Shakti Singh, son of Krishan Singh, resident of village Sincha, Ramban and recovered 36 bottles of (250 ml each) liquor from him.
He was illegally selling the liquor and an FIR with number 244/2024 under Section 48(a) of Excise Act was registered against him at Police Station Ramban and investigation started.
