RAJOURI, Oct 3: A car caught fire under mysterious circumstances near Rajouri City Police Station late this evening.
Reports said that a car had been parked in the official parking lot of the office of Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti Department, just in front of city police station Rajouri. At around 7.45 pm today, the car suddenly caught fire under mysterious circumstances. The people ran towards the vehicle to control the fire. Some people got scared and kept away sensing it militant act.
The fire tender was called by police but before it arrived at the site, the car had already burnt nearly 90 percent.
The car owner Manoj Kumar said that he parked his car in the parking lot at around 5 pm as usual and went home. Later, at around 8 pm a shopkeeper of the locality told that his car has caught fire. When he reached at the site, the car was engulfed by huge flames. He registered a case at Police Station Rajouri. The police started investigation and was collecting CCTV footage of the area.
