AIMCCC’s concern over closing of portal of Pharmacy Council

JAMMU, Oct 3: All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) president, Desh Rattan has urged the Drug Controller to open the portal for registration of diploma holders of pharmacy with the Pharmacy Council of India.
The Committee which met here, today said that authorities have closed the portal with the result the diploma holders in pharmacy intending to register themselves with the Pharmacy Council are unable to get themselves registered.
He said with the growing unemployment in the UT, the Government should encourage such youths who have diploma in pharmacy to open their own pharmacy shops after getting registered with the Council.
Rattan said that they have already taken up the issue with Chief Secretary during their recent meeting with him and he too has assured a look into the matter.
