Caustic soda declines on reduced offtake

NEW DELHI, Apr 24: Caustic soda prices fell by Rs 50 per 50 kg in the national capital today on reduced offtake by consuming industries.

Caustic soda flake fell Rs 50 to Rs 2,050-2,150 per 50 kg.

Traders said subdued demand from consuming industries against increased arrivals from producing belts, mainly pulled down caustic soda prices on the wholesale chemical market here.
