LEH, Oct 6: In a move to bolster healthcare and development in remote areas, Chairman/CEC of LAHDC, Advocate Tashi Gyalson, today visited the villages of Lingshed, Skumpata, and Neyraks in Leh.
He was accompanied by DC/CEO LAHDC Leh, Santosh Sukhadeve, Director Dihar Dr Om Prakash Chaurasia, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Shabir Hussain, and other senior officials.
The visit began in Neyraks, where the team distributed eye care supplies, including sunglasses, to the local community. This initiative, supported by Pema Care, aimed to improve eye health and overall well-being in these remote villages, underscoring the LAHDC’s commitment to enhancing healthcare access in far-flung areas.
Following the distribution, the delegation travelled to Skumpata for a detailed site inspection related to an upcoming developmental project. The visit provided an opportunity for officials to engage directly with villagers, fostering dialogue on local needs and aspirations.
The ongoing efforts are part of the LAHDC’s broader objective to bring long-term improvements in quality of life, healthcare, and livelihood opportunities for the people of the region.
