Rao concerned over contractual appointments

JAMMU, Oct 6: Independent candidate from Jammu North Constituency, Kuldeep Kumar Rao has flayed the contractual system of employment for Lecturers in Higher Secondary Schools and in Colleges as contractual Assistant Professors.
He said that the promise of providing 2 crore jobs annually to the youth of the country in 2014 and 50,000 jobs to the youth of J&K after the abrogation of Article 370 still haunts the minds of young people here.
“Engagement of several youth on contractual basis, ad-hoc basis and as daily wagers in Education, PDD, PHE, Health and other departments has compounded their miseries,” he maintained adding: “With the abrogation of Article 370, the highly educated youth had pinned hopes that some concrete educational policy would mitigate their suffering but nothing like that happened.”
Rao appealed to the Lt. Governor, Manoj Sinha to take cognizance of the plight of highly educated un-employed youth.
