Samba police arrests 3 drug peddlers, seizes heroin

SAMBA Oct 6: Samba police has arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 7.8 grams heroin (chitta) from their possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Ghagwal.
A police party of PS Ghagwal during vehicle checking naka at NHW Tapyal, intercepted a duster car bearing Registration number PB08CF-1805 coming from Kathua side for its checking. During the checking of vehicle, 7.8 grams heroin (chitta) was recovered from the possession of 3 persons who were boarding the car.
The arrested persons have been identified as Rajman Singh alias Raman son of Balkar Singh of Tapyal Samba, Ranjeet Singh son of Harbans Singh of Ghagwal Samba and Ram Kumar, son of Yograj of Ghagwal district Samba were arrested and contraband item was also seized.
The police team was headed by SHO Ghagwal. In this regard, a case FIR No. 134/2024 U/S 8/21/22/25/29 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Ghagwal and further investigation is going on.
