RBI organizes awareness camp at Bawe Wali Mata Mandir

JAMMU, Oct 8: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) here organised a two day awareness camp during the holy days of Navratri at Bawe Wali Mata Mandir in Bahu Fort, which concluded today.
The event was organized by Issue Department, RBI Jammu under the theme of spreading awareness about currency management, the security features of currency notes and note refund rules.
This initiative was conducted under the aegis of RBI@90, commemorating 90 years journey of RBI.
A handout of RBI stated that the event saw active participation from the general public and the camp had a special focus on educating them about the security features of currency notes to prevent counterfeiting.
As a part of the engagement, a quiz on currency management was also conducted, wherein the participants were suitably awarded.
Additionally, a counter for fresh currency notes and coins was also operated by Jammu & Kashmir Bank wherein all denominations of fresh currency notes and coins were distributed to the public. The initiative received widespread appreciation from the public, who praised the efforts of RBI.
