LEH, Oct 9: To commemorate the 92nd anniversary of the Indian Air Force, a static display was organized at Air Force Station Leh, here today.

The aim of the static display was to showcase the professionalism and capabilities of IAF as well as to instill a sense of patriotism in youth of the country.
The show included static display of various fighters, transport and helicopter fleet aircraft, along with indigenous surface to air weapon systems.
Lieutenant Governor of UT Ladakh, Brig Dr. BD Mishra (Retd) was the Chief Guest, while officers of sister services and civil dignitaries graced the event.
The function was hosted by Air Cmde Dharminder Singh Handa, Air Officer Commanding and all personnel of Air Force Station Leh.
The marquee event started with students and general public witnessing the displayed aircraft and missile systems. They were also briefed about the strengths and capabilities of each system.
Attractive aircraft posters, stickers and other publicity material were distributed amongst the students witnessing the event.
It invoked inquisitiveness, particularly among the younger generation.
Successful conduct of the event was a testimony to the cooperation and coordination between the functionaries of Air Force Station and Civil Administration.
