Khyber Cement collaborates with BIS for bike rally to Siachen

JAMMU, Oct 9: Khyber Cement, the leading brand from J&K, has collaborated with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) to flag off a bike rally to commemorate World Standards Day 2024.
The rally will conclude at Siachen Base Camp with 16 riders taking part in it.
The 10-day rally, themed ‘Driving Sustainability through Standards’ was flagged off on October 9 from Nehru Park, Srinagar with riders travelling through challenging terrain to raise awareness about the role of standards in promoting sustainability.
This initiative also promotes organizational sustainability by implementing proactive oversight measures that enhance transparency and ethical practices.
Speaking about the initiative, Umar Tramboo, Director of Corporate & Strategy emphasised the importance of such collaborations stating: “Our partnership with BIS for this rally is a part of our constant efforts to drive positive change in the region, from supporting environmental causes to ensuring transparency in all our business practices.”
Manzoor Ahmad Mir, Head of Commercials, Legal & Regulatory Affairs said: “Khyber Cement has joined hands with BIS to celebrate World Standards Day 2024, reinforcing our commitment to quality and excellence in construction.”
Sneh Lata, Deputy Director General North BIS stated: “The initiative of bike rally to Siachen Base Camp at Ladakh represents our mission to reach new horizons.”
A handout stated that by collaborating with BIS for this initiative, Khyber Cement has once again demonstrated its commitment to foster positive change in J&K.
