BLSKS organizes workshop on Duggar Folk Culture

JAMMU, Oct 9: To celebrate Navratra Festival and to promote the rich traditional culture of J&K Bharatiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) organized a workshop on Duggar Folk Culture titled “Sanskrit Mahostav 2024” here today.
The programe was inaugurated by the Chief Guest V K Magotra, former regional director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India, Dr. Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director, J&K Health Department, Mukesh Singh, were the Guest of Honor.
Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest V K Magotra lauded the role of BLSKS for organizing such play and workshop.
Dr. Tara Singh Charak , former Deputy Director, J&K Health Department urged the artists/cultural organizations to contribute in enriching awareness of the cultural heritage of the country and inspiring the younger generation to follow the footprints of their elders in preserving the composite culture of the Nation.
Dr. M L Dogra, Chairman BLSKS expressed her happiness to organize Sanskrti Mahotsav, popularly known as Virat Nagri in the ancient times, finds a place of pride in the history for its splendor, antiquity and historical importance, whereas, the Jia Pota Ghat on the right bank of river Chandrabhaga is the crowning glory of this beautiful ancient town.
Among others who performed during the workshop included Usha Handoo, Zulekha Bano, Rajni Gupta, Raju Bajgal, K K Joshi, Chahat Chadha, Bindia Okheda, Sahil Gill, Sanjeev Kumar Sodhi, Rahul Kumar, Vijay Verma, Varsha Kumari, Sakshi Sharma, Janvi Sharma, Anjana Sharma, Afroz Aalam, Sant Dass and Deepak Kumar.
