JAMMU, Oct 11: PM Modi has successfully transformed the way of thinking of Kashmiri leadership. Reaction of Omar Abdullah, National Conference (NC) leader after his party won the recently held Assembly elections is clear endorsement of this.
Omar, who is Chief Ministerial candidate, has said that Article 370 cannot be invoked without the support of Centre and he will run the upcoming Government with the cooperation and coordination of the Centre.
This was stated by senior BJP leader and former Mayor Jammu, Rajinder Sharma.
He said that such statements of Omar Abdullah are welcoming and are the results of visionary leadership of PM Modi who has done a lot in Jammu and Kashmir due to which the leadership of Kashmir has also started thinking in right direction and none talks about separatists and divisive forces.
Rajinder Sharma also said that another major development in the recently concluded Assembly elections was contesting of elections by the leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami who earlier boycotted the elections and never trusted in Indian Constitution.
“PM Modi’s leadership has brought confidence among Jamat people and now they are participating in democratic processes,” he maintained adding: “The Jamaat leaders and others have taken an oath of Indian Constitution while filling nomination for contesting elections and this is a big change which never happened earlier.”
The former Mayor also said that such positive changes strengthen the Indian democracy which was only possible under the regime of PM Modi as his visionary leadership has transformed the way Jamaat and other separatist leaders used to think.
Sharma further said that with such a positive change in the mindset of Kashmir leadership, J&K is going to have a Government to work for public welfare with the cooperation and coordination of the Centre led by PM Modi.
