LEH, Oct 12: Councillor, Cha, Stanzin Lakpa, met with the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd), at the LG Secretariat today to discuss delays in the Dharma Centre-cum-Community Hall project at Lungnak.
As per a statement, Lakpa requested the LG’s intervention to expedite the work.
The LG directed Advisor Dr Pawan Kotwal, who was also present in the meeting, to address the issue.
In a separate meeting, Senior Pharmacist Farida Batool met the LG to discuss her son’s medical condition.
She told the LG that her son suffers from Cerebral Palsy and requires regular physiotherapy and medical assistance.
Batool requested a transfer to Kargil House in Jammu on medical grounds to better care for her son.
The LG instructed Dr Kotwal and Director Health Services Dr Tashi Thinles to look into her request.
