Retirees Police League holds monthly meet

JAMMU, Oct 15: The monthly meeting of the Retirees Police League District Jammu was held here under the chairmanship of Karanjit Singh, president of the Association.
During the meeting, which was attended by SDPO Gandhi Nagar, Kartik Sharotriya, the retired police officers raised the issues of non-availability of medicines in the police hospitals and Government hospitals for the pensioners.
The retired police officers also claimed that the PSOs allotted to them by PHQ have not been relieved yet by the concerned units, and this can affect their security.
They also demanded that the medical allowances should be given to them on similar patterns as are being given to the police in other States and UTs and the paramilitary forces.
The retired police officers also wished that PHQ and Zonal Headquarters hold meeting with the ex-police personnel on a regular basis. Besides, they sought direction to the local units to maintain liaison with the retired police personnel on a regular basis.
The meeting was attended by several retired police personnel including Choudhary Chirag Din, Ranjit Singh, Suresh Kumar, Tabasm Savita Parihar, Sarwar Chohan, Prabhdyal Sharma, SR Datta, Mohinder Singh, Khalil Ur Rehman, Yoginder Singh Kanwar, Parshotam Bali, Kuldip Raj, Mohammad Sadiq, Satpal, Ramesh Sharma and others.
A vegetarian lunch followed the meeting.
