JAMMU, Oct 16: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has rescinded various orders that empowered the Lieutenant Governor, his Advisors, and the Administrative Secretaries in the Administrative Council (AC) sans an elected Government.

“In pursuance to notification SO 4484(E) dated October 13, 2024 issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, it is hereby ordered that Governor order number 808 JK-(GAD) of 2020 dated September 1, 2020, Government order number 809-JK(GAD) of 2020 dated September 1, 2020, Government order number 810-JK(GAD) of 2020 dated September 1, 2020, and Government order number 811-JK(GAD) of 2020 dated September 1, 2020, along with any modification, alteration or addition are rescinded forthwith,” read an order issued by Commissioner Secretary to the Government, General Administration Department, Sanjeev Verma.
