Randhawa promotes renewable energy

JAMMU, Oct 17: To promote renewable energy in his Constituency, MLA Bahu, Vikram Randhawa here today visited Green Belt Sub-Division Office to register for PM Surya Ghar Scheme after which he pledged to encourage people to install solar panels under the initiative.
Randhawa visited door-to-door and listened concerns of the people and shared government’s achievements.
It is pertinent to mention here that PM Surya Ghar Scheme aims to provide free electricity to one crore households in India by installing rooftop solar electricity units and households can get 300 units of electricity free every month.
This scheme, launched by PM Modi aims to provide free electricity to households and empower them to generate their own electricity through solar power.
The MLA urged the citizens to contribute to climate change mitigation and energy savings.
He encouraged the public to help in reducing carbon emissions and electricity bills.
By encouraging his constituency to join the programme, Randhawa has made efforts to make his Bahu constituency a model for solar generation.
