JAMMU, Oct 18: Cluster University of Jammu held the 3rd Meeting of the Board of Students Welfare at the Vice-Chancellor’s Secretariat in the Administrative Block. The meeting, chaired by the Vice-Chancellor, was attended by key board members and special invitees.
A significant part of the meeting involved confirming the minutes from the 2nd Board of Students Welfare meeting held on November 23, 2023. Additionally, the 2024-2025 activity calendar was thoroughly reviewed, with a particular focus on the upcoming Yuvtarang 2024, the university’s esteemed literary and cultural festival. The festival, along with other student-centered activities, aims to foster holistic development among students throughout the academic year.
Dr. Kuldeep Raina, Cultural Coordinator, delivered a presentation emphasizing the Board of Students Welfare’s contributions toward promoting academic growth, cultural participation, and extracurricular activities. Prominent attendees included Ankur Mahajan, Registrar; Dr. Ranvijay Singh, Controller of Examinations; Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma, Special Secretary HED; and various faculty coordinators and college principals. Special invitees included Prof. Kavita Suri from the University of Jammu, Shruti Awasthi from the Indira Gandhi Centre of Arts, and Prof. Savi Behl from Government Degree College, Kathua, among others. The meeting underscored the university’s commitment to enhancing student welfare and fostering a vibrant academic and cultural environment.
