BSP hopes Omar will address burning public issues: Rana

JAMMU, Oct 20: The J&K unit of BSP today congratulated the Government elected by the people after 10 years in J&K and hoped that the NC led Omar Government will work to fulfill the expectations of the people.
Talking to media after a meeting of party leadership held at the party office in Jammu J&K unit president Darshan Rana said that the Bahujan Samaj Party hopes that Omar Government will work for the development and betterment of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Rana said that during the last 10 years, there was no hearing of the common people of Jammu and Kashmir and no one took the problems of the people seriously. He said that the contractors who provided material for the development work done in the year 2016-17 under the MNREGA scheme have not received their dues till date, whereas the contractors have raised this demand on every platform.
BSP leader said that he is hopeful that the National Conference coalition Government will soon take a decision in the interest of the contractors and release the outstanding amount so that the contractors providing material for development works can get relief.
He also raised the issue of security given to political parties and said that during the last 10 years, the leaders of opposition political parties were not even given security and they were completely sidelined. He said that he is hopeful that the Jammu and Kashmir Government will take concrete steps to provide adequate security to the leaders of all political parties so that they can continue their political activities in every area.
Rana said the Government should also take a decision for the regularization of the daily wagers and temporary workers. He said BSP welcomes all such decisions of the Government which will be in the interest of the common people.
During meeting, vice president Charanjeet Chargotra, Gourab Bakshi, Shashi Bhusan Thappa, Raja Singh, Bishan Dass, Tilak Raj Bhagat and other party members were also present.
