Sena demands Cow Protection Law, reorganises J&K unit

JAMMU, Oct 20: Shiv Sena (UBT) J&K chief, Manish Sahni has urged the CM Omar Abdullah to bring Cow Protection Law and orders strict legal action against bovine smugglers.
Addressing a press conference here today, Sahni cited the recent incident of clash between bovine smugglers and locals in Bishnah.
He said that incidents of bovine smuggling are increasing day-by-day.
The Shiv Sena leader extended full support to the campaign of Jyotish Peethadhiswar Shankaracharya Swami Shri Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Ji who is demanding declaration of cow as ‘Mother of the Nation’ and complete ban on cow slaughtering.
He hailed CM Omar Abdullah for passing resolution regarding State restoration to J&K in the first cabinet meeting and approval of the same by Lieutenant Governor.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena J&K unit has been reorganized and Jai Bharat has been appointed as working president for J&K; Balwant Singh, Sanjeev Kohli as senior vice presidents; Vikas Bakshi, general secretary; Dr. Bharat Mahajan, Baby Kaul and Rajesh Jandial, vice presidents; Malik Bashir, president Kashmir division; Rakesh Gupta and G.I Singh were appointed as advisors.
The command of Kamghar wing was given to Raj Singh while Shashipal was made vice president.
