JAMMU, Oct 22: FICCI FLO JKL here today in partnership with SMVD Narayana Superspecialty Hospital, Four A Resort and PREVEST DenPRO organised a health camp at Birpur.
The event was part of the ongoing ‘Har Ghar Swasth’ initiative by FICCI FLO JKL aimed at delivering affordable healthcare services to rural communities.
Over 150 persons from adjoining rural areas participated in the camp and benefited from the expert medical consultation, health check-ups, testing and got free medicines.
A key feature of this camp was deployment of a fully equipped mammography van by Narayana. The van offered free mammography services to women and issued instant reports ensuring timely diagnosis and encouraged early detection of breast cancer.
Ruchika Gupta, Chairperson FICCI FLO JKL engaged with participants and encouraged them to avail benefits of various Government healthcare schemes.
She expressed gratitude to Sanya Bansal and Varsha Bansal, Directors of Four A for facilitating the camp. The event provided specialized services in orthopaedics, cardiology, ophthalmology, dental care and general medicine.
Doctors from Narayana including Dr. Sushant Kumar and Dr. Imran Ganai offered their services while Dr. Shiva Gupta from PREVEST DenPRO performed dental check-ups and distributed dental kits to attendees.
A state-of-the-art Volvo Medical Bus from Narayana Hospital equipped with X-ray, ECG and blood testing facilities also offered for services.
FLO members Varuna Anand (immediate past chair), Varsha Bansal (vice chairperson), Sona Mehta (treasurer), Pooja Gandotra (joint treasurer) and Nandita Bajaj (joint secretary) participated in the camp.
