JAMMU, Oct 22: Gandhi Global Family (GGF) here today appointed renowned philanthropist, Ved Prakash Verma as president of its Gandhi Nagar and Shastri Nagar Units.
In the appointment letter, Padmashri S.P Verma, president GGF J&K expressed hope that his induction would strengthen the Gandhian movement in the State.
In a message, S.P Verma said that aim of the GGF is to promote peace and goodwill in the society on the principles of Gandhian philosophy so that the progress and prosperity of the society are ensured.
He said that he was confident that Ved Prakash and his team would serve the society as ambassadors of peace.
A handout stated that through the appointment letter, Ved Prakash has been authorised to constitute a committee to organise GGF activities and hold membership drives in the areas under his jurisdiction.
