JAMMU, Oct 24: Jammu and Kashmir Police today conducted a raid at a drug hotspot in Rajeev Nagar area here.
During the raid conducted in the presence of EMIC Bahu, police teams led by SP South Jammu, Ajay Sharma, and SDPO East, along with concerned SHOs and Incharge Police Posts, conducted rigorous checking of suspected houses, pedestrians and vehicles.
Accordingly, four to five suspects were rounded up and after questioning, some of them were arrested and an FIR under the relevant sections of the law was registered at concerned police station and further investigation started.
A counselling session was also organised to educate the residents of the area and youth in particular about the detrimental effects of drug abuse, promoting community awareness and prevention.
