Kathua, Oct 25: The newly sanctioned Homeopathy College in Kathua has received official approval to begin its first academic session, enrolling 63 students.
This college, a significant development for healthcare in Jammu and Kashmir, was sanctioned at the request of Dr Jitendra Singh by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through the Ministry of AYUSH.

Singh, the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, announced the development on the platform X, expressing optimism about the future of healthcare in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said he visited the site of the college on March 10, 2024, marking a new educational opportunity in the field of alternative medicine for the region.

The Homeopathy College, sanctioned at our request by PM Sh @narendramodi through the Ministry of AYUSH, the land site of which was visited on 10th March 2024, has been granted approval to start its first batch with 63 students,” Dr Jitendra Singh wrote on X.
“While the College will open a new avenue of medical education for the region, it will also be a step forward in the direction of achieving the goal of holistic #healthcare through integration of different systems of medicine,” he said.
