JAMMU, Oct 25: Unidentified thieves today held guards of a Grid Station in Miran Sahib hostage at the gun point and decamped with electrical items worth Rs 3-4 lakh.
Quoting the guards Soamnath son of Ishar Dass and Madhan Lal son of Mast Ram, a police official said that around 8-10 unidentified persons arrived at Grid Station Talli Morh in Miran Sahib area around 3-3:30 Am and took the guards hostage at gunpoint to steal some transmitters and other valuable electrical equipments worth around Rs 3-4 lakh.
Acting on the statements and written complaint of the guards, he said, police have registered a case FIR number 107/2024 under section 310 BNS and 4/25 Arms Act against the unidentified persons.
No arrest has been made so far in the case as further investigation is underway, added the police official.
