POONCH, Oct 25: A porter was injured in mine blast at Kayiyan area of Shahpur sector of Poonch district today.
The injured person identified as Mohd Hanief, son of Akber Din said that he is working as porter with the local army unit. Today when he was in his field with animals, he kept his foot in a drain while following a cattle. Suddenly, a land mine exploded and he received serious injuries in his foot. The Army troops rushed to the spot and they shifted him to District Hospital, Poonch.
Medical Superintendent DH Poonch, Dr Nusrat Bhatti said that he has injury in right foot. We have given him first- aid but he needs advance treatment. He has been shifted to GMC Jammu for that purpose.
