Academy celebrates World Heritage Day

JAMMU, Apr 30:  In connection with the World Heritage Day, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages today held a seminar on the Cultural heritage of Dogra at K.L Saigal Hall,  here today.
Prof. Nilamber Dev Sharma, former secretary of Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages was the chief guest while Dr. Jitendra Udhampuri presided over.
N D , noted Dogri writer and artist presented Keynote address.
Dr. Lalit Gupta and Sham Lal Raina presented papers on issues and challenges of Dogra heritage.
Mr Jamwal in his address put light on the overall scenario of the Dogra heritage including tangible and intangible heritage of Dogra and stressed to be preserved for the next generation.
Sham Lal Raina   and Dr Lalit Gupta raised various issues and challenges related to preservation of  glorious heritage of Dogra .
Earlier , Dr. Sudhir Mahajan Presented welcome address and also gave the details of the function and various programmes to be organized by the Academy in this week.
